همون طور که تو خود درس توضیح داده شده:
They had to spend so much time together, adrift on that plank, that after becoming mightily bored, they ended up conversing.
آن‌ها، درحالیکه سرگردان و شناور بودند روی تخته چوب، مجبور شدند که زمان زیادی را بایکدیگر بگذرانند. وقتیکه خیلی خیلی کسل شدند، درنهایت کارشان به صحبت کردن بایکدیگر رسید.
در واقع، mightily همون معنی very رو میده
