To get the plural of words ending in ‘y’, there is a rule to remember. If there is a vowel before the y, you just add ‘s’. If there is a consonant before the ‘y’, drop the ‘y’ and add ‘ies’.
If the Y makes a hard Y sound (as in ‘yes’ or ‘beyond’), Y is a consonant. If the Y makes a short I sound (as in ‘myth’ or ‘gym’), Y is a vowel. If the Y makes a long I sound (as in ‘my’ or ‘fly’), Y is a vowel.
Personally l memorize words and verbs like this

اگه قبل از yحروف صدادار باشه فقط sمیگیره مثلا she plays
ولی اگه حروف صدادار u,o,i,e,aنباشه iesمیگیره،
مثلا she tries
