This song is by one of my all time favorite bands called Dream Theater. The genre loosly-defined is Progressive Rock/Progressive Metal. This song and the entire album deal with the topic of mental health, which I believe somehow is one of those taboo subjects that barely gets talked about in our society, let alone being sung about. This song portrays story of a father and a daughter and the struggle they go through. If you found the lyrics and the song interesting, you can check out the album. The album has one song which runs for 45 minutes, but has been chopped up to a few songs, and they all deal with the subject of different mental illnesses. If you like this type of lyricism where a story is clearly being told, you are in for a ride. The song is called “About to Crash”. Enjoy!
