مثلا توی این جمله چرا از various به جای diverse استفاده نکرده؟

Various بیشتر روی تعداد تمرکز داره، یعنی چند نوع، چندتا
Diverse میشه متفاوت، بیشتر روی تفاوت تمرکز داره، خیلی متفاوت و خیلی مختلف و با تنوع منظور هست

همانطور که دوستمان گفتند various در مورد چندین چیز از انواع مختلف صحبت میکند many kinds
اما diverse از تفاوت در یک نوع صحبت میکند different kind,
مثلا در همین مثالی که زدم داره میگه آیا خدایان متنوع بهترند؟ همه از نوع خدا هستند ولی با هم متفاوتند.
در مثال شما هم‌داره از جمعیت های متفاوت مردم صحبت میکنه که همه از یک نوع هستند. یعنی آدم هستند. ولی متفاوتند به لحاظ نژاد و جنسیت و اینا…
