Third conditional

If clause :if you’d told us, Main clause :We would have helped you.

If clause :If i hadn’t run, Main clause :I wouldn’t have fallen.

If clause :If you had seen her, Main clause :would you have helped her?

Main clause :I would have called sooner If clause :If I’d Known about the accident.

Main clause : He would have hurt his head if clause :If he hadn’t worn a helmet.

Main clause :What would you have done if clause : If you’d seen the fire?

FORMULA =If + Subject + past perfect
Subject + would have + past participale form of the verb

We use the third conditional to talk about Imaginary Event in the past that didn’t happen.

If i hadn’t sprained My ankle, I would have finished the Race.
(I sprained My ankle, So i didn’t Finish the Race.)

If she had burned her hand, It would have hurt.
(She didn’t Burn her hand, So It didn’t hurt.)

He wouldn’t have gotten a graze if he hadn’t fallen over.
(He fell over, So he got a graze.)
