Let me be honest with you, Recently I’ve lost my belief and intrest to these stuffs. Celebrating the new year, Haft Sin and even being excited for new year’s resolutions (which are often created based on a short positive sense and don’t work during the year) . I think it’s a fantasy look at the rotation of the earth and It doesn’t need all this noises. Setting an origin for time maybe a good idea for performance analysis, but for celebrating? I don’t think so. And this is what I believe about birthday cakes and other stupid stuffs, too:/

I wish you brighter and joyful year ahead:bouquet::heart:

I don’t mean to be rude but as I almost know Raha’s personality, I can be pretty sure that breaking her blog’s rules by someone except herself, wouldn’t be pleasant for her at all. Why don’t you ask her in English?:rose:

Thanks for pointing that out, I actually like this kind of rudeness. You know what, I don’t know why when I want to talk behind Leitner’s back, I prefer to say in Farsi :slightly_smiling_face:

I know what you’re saying, but even so I like the feeling that usually comes with the start of a new year, especially when in our country it’s timed to coincide with spring when everything seems to be brand new. The trees and flowers come into bloom. And the color green is everywhere. Green is one of my favorites.

Yeah, there’s no need to make a fuss about them.

Thanks for your reply, and I promise that I won’t write Farsi in this blog or anywhere :raised_hand:else

That’s the best way to learn new words. In context and through immersion and extensive reading. :ok_hand:

Logical fallacies are errors in reasoning that occur when the premises of an argument are flawed, making the conclusion unreliable or unsound. They can be intentional or unintentional and can occur in everyday conversations, political debates, and academic discussions. Here are some common examples of logical fallacies:

Ad hominem: This is a personal attack against the person making an argument instead of addressing the argument itself. For example, “You can’t trust John’s opinion on this matter because he’s a convicted felon.”

Appeal to authority: This is when someone uses an authority figure to support their argument without providing any evidence or reasoning. For example, “The doctor said that the new diet is good for you, so it must be true.”

False dilemma: This is when someone presents only two options as if they are the only ones, when in fact there are other options available. For example, “You either support the war or you’re unpatriotic.”

Circular reasoning: This is when someone uses the conclusion of an argument as one of the premises to prove that conclusion. For example, “The Bible is true because it says it is the word of God.”

Strawman: This is when someone misrepresents their opponent’s argument in order to make it easier to attack. For example, “The Democrats want to take away all guns and leave us defenseless.”

Slippery slope: This is when someone argues that a particular action will inevitably lead to a series of negative consequences, without providing evidence for why this would be the case. For example, “If we allow gay marriage, then soon we’ll have people marrying animals.”

Hasty generalization: This is when someone draws a conclusion based on insufficient or unrepresentative evidence. For example, “I met a rude French person once, so all French people must be rude.”

It’s important to be aware of these fallacies when engaging in discussions or debates.

MORTALITY, behold and fear!
What a change of flesh is here!
Think how many royal bones
Sleep within this heap of stones:
Here they lie had realms and lands,
Who now want strength to stir their hands
