Hi there.
Welcome to our forum. :rose:
Sorry if I’m responding late. I wanted to write without rushing it.

About your text, I must say I both agree and disagree with you.
We see eye to eye on some points like:

As you pointed out, we mostly cope with problems instead of trying to solve them which has resulted in our current condition and rooted, serious flaws.

But, we don’t seem much of the same mind about using the subject “Iranian” for your text.
I think most of the things you mentioned are not just our problems but hamankind’s. Ignorance, is the root of many many other deeds of humans like cruelty, self indulgent, unfairness… and the list goes on. I think ignorance and blindness are nasty features which lead to steping on humanity.

I’m glad you liked it.

No, it won’t look like a list if you pick one and explain the reason of your selection. We don’t need to open it too much. You may bring a couple of examples or reasons and finish it.

My post may sound sad, and I’m sorry about this (I usually don’t show my bitter self).

I watched the clip. You know what’s different about us? We live in one of the worst countries in the world. Our appalling situation has made us appalling people. An appalling person has made all of us miserable and hateful. And we worsen our situation. This unavoidable misery has become a vicious circle with an unavoidable doom. We live with hatred, and cannot tolerate any kind of happiness for others. We’ve grown to become a country of dumb, apathetic people.
I’m pretty sure we, Iranians, can’t see each other happy, because we’re not happy.

“Live without limits” and “Do everything you want to do now…” don’t work for us. Our politicians know we’re dumb, so why bother? They will live with our money, and we will live paying them all our lives. If I wanted to add a piece of advice to my bitter comment as a bottom line, it would be this:

If you want a change, start with yourself and keep your fingers crossed for others to change too.

Hi. Actually, my favorite book is Harry Potter, which I don’t know by the author. The reason I like this book is because I usually like adventure books. Apart from Harry Potter with other books such as Grusham Grinch, The Alchemist and the rest of the books
Also interested with Darren Sean’s book series
And the book I read until half the second volume, and I’d like to continue, is the ghostly apprentice.
I’m totally interested in reading books.

Good luck :hibiscus::hibiscus::tulip::rose:

Hello. Y’know, I think University is a good way to succeed in our life. But IT is not the only way.

  1. I think yes. IT is worth going to University

3.If we go to university, we can get a degree, which is the most important thing to get hired in a business.

  1. The most important reason I’m learning English is to study at a university in England.

Hello again my dear friends I’m back :man_singer::man_singer::star_struck::star_struck::rose::rose::hibiscus::hibiscus:
Dear Ms. Velayati please forgive me for my late response but you know I can’t miss your topics.:blush::relaxed:
Considering the interpretation of the word “success”, we can give different answers to the first question.
To make it short, I believe success means to achieve what we truly desire, so it means it has different instances for every individual person.
So for some people, going to university is one the best way for success like someone that his dream is to get for instance Nobel prize. Of course not the only way but one of the best way.
Ok there is so much to tell about this topic but I don’t want to make you bored so I just share my opinion about the third question.
Before I began, let me explain that we can’t compare all the universities to each other because some of them are really good and some of them are only good enough to hang out with friends like cafe.
So I’m talking about good universities.
One of the greatest things in universities is the atmosphere. Believe it or not we are affected by people around us subconsciously. We are sociable beings and we need to be in society, something that we can find it easily in the university. But we can’t find it when we study alone even if you claim that you are too much introverted, also if you put yourself among the people, you’ll be influenced by them though.
In conclusion as a person who has studied alone and in school, I believe for studying, university or other institutions are better than nothing.
Thank you :pray::pray:
Wishing you all the best :hibiscus::hibiscus::rose::sparkles::sparkles:

Drear @elahehvelayati

We’ve got writers here who had adressed you in their comments.
I thought it would be a waste if you don’t read their replies since the post was yours.

I quite agree that our condition is hard, very hard actually. Though I’m also well aware that our current condition is way more better than many countries. Countries which are involved in wars and serious poverty. So, I think it’s not fair to say that we live in one of the worst countries. It’s not ideal but it’s not that bad either. Never mind that I think all the countries are pretty much the same. We haven’t really seen the lives beyond our frontiers to know what’s going on there. We believe what others have told us and I know enough not to believe anything that others tell me.

It would be harder for us but not impossible. I believe that those who are in difficult situations are more likely to achive what they want than those who have been provided and looked after. Cause we are so desperate to change the paths of our lives that we put all our strength in order to overcome our problems. Cause we know hardships better than others. And that’s why most of significant people during history have risen from poverty and hardship.

A super great advice! I believe small changes, even the tiniest ones are much much better than nothing. And if we’re lucky, these small changes may lead to bigger ones.

Thank you for sharing your point of view with us.
I enjoyed talking to you. :rose:

Your comment shows your mature mind. Not everyone is blessed with that. I hope you know how beautiful you think, and I wish you always stay like this. Like I said, I’m not a bitter person. I know we think according to our experiences, not our choices. I think like that, because I’m facing a bad period in my life. Seeing hatred everywhere adds insult to injury and I cannot turn a blind eye to them; they’re eating me alive. I studied law at university; I see things in society that not everybody can see. We’re stuck in a hopeless situation. I don’t see a way round problems. Politicians will not change in a good way, but we can. It appears to me when they want to appoint someone to an office, they would take an IQ test and if they’re stupid enough, they’d see them fully qualified.
I’m sure you can read between my lines, and notice that I see our hope only in people. We’re not bad people; we’re in bad circumstances, and we act accordingly.

I enjoyed talking to you too.
I wish you a happy life.

That’s very kind of you.

I don’t think you’re a bitter person. I have the same point of view as you sometimes. I used to write super bitter, gloomy texts that when I would force a slightly happy and optemistic sentence among bitter words, it would take every one by surprise and even some one told me, it’s a remarkable progress.

Sooooooooo true. And we see eye to eye completely.

Thanks. I wish it for every one of us.

Hello Ms.Velayati
I disagree with going to college, because it’s atmosphere is not suitable for learning advance skills. There is high level of tention and stress during exam days which makes some pralisis and disability for learning.
While we can learn any skill or craft via internet our society believes going to university is mandatory but my question is which one is more efficient?
a lecture base community with high level of tention or learning by your self.

Howdy everyone!

I’m pretty interested in short quotes and I spend 15 minutes a day and read some. So, when I thought about giving a piece of advice, I was overwhelmed by a flood of quotes which I liked and approved and which weren’t originally mine.
So, I decided that I’m not going to rewrite what I have read but write what I have worked out myself.

I believe a large part of our believes and thoughts have been tempered with the moment we have set eyes on this world. One of these thoughts is the idea of “perfection”.

We have got a black and white view of people. Those who are evil are evil, not owning an ounce of goodness. And those who are good are good, saint people who are not capable of any dark act.

But that’s a biiiiiiiiiig lie!

You cannot split people in to groups, you just can’t!

People are different from each other with different collection of feachers. All of us got collections containing both good an evil.

A person can be brave but cruel.
A peson can be kind but a coward.

See?

This black and white way of thinking is why we frequently get shocked by people moves!

We either believe they are bad, therefore uncapable of showing any sign of goodness, or they are good, uncapable of hurting a fly.

It’s time for everyone of us to accept that perfect people do not exist!

By putting away this black and white idea of people, you’ll learn to not always expect people more than they are really capable of.

This way, an act of ignorence from someone who had your full attention will not hurt the same as past.

This way an act of indifference from someone who had your full support will not sting that bad.

In short, try to look at people logically not emotionally. And see if you can eccept them with both their flaws and good points.

Remeber, no one is flawless.

But, I’m going to share some of the best quotes I read cause I can not skip.

Good morning.

I agree with you. And not so much to your surprise, I must admit that I totally see people in black and white; mostly black, to be precise. (I don’t trust people and I earned it). Let me add something to your strangely perfect and white portrait of characters by stating the obvious. If we accept that there’s a grey territory in life, and it’s the land of our flaws, I should say, no one can stay in that land for long, otherwise they’ll become black. I mean when you make a mistake, you have to make it right. If you do something bad to someone, you must apologize, even if it doesn’t work. You cannot live as a useless person in your whole life. You can’t stay a coward, a gossip, a liar. You have a flaw, then you fix it. We can’t live in grey.

And another obvious thing; it takes us one little moment to stain a black spot on our seemingly white character, but it takes a lot longer to whiten that spot back, depending on its blackness. If we do a lot of bad stuff in our lives, we’ll become black.

You’re an excellent writer, by the way. If the only person who can understand what I write is you, that’s enough for me. And when someone creates a wonderful thread and a great opportunity for me to write, I shouldn’t stay quiet; that’s a grey area. We cannot stay there for long. We take something good, then we have to give something good back. I wish the others were more supportive and active.

Have a nice day.

Morning!

:+1:
Well, I absolutely go along with you. There is no question in the fact that we all have to work to make a better version of ourselves. Try to strengthen our bright spots and weaken our dark spots and not being perfect is no excuse for not trying to make up our messes. That’s sooo true. But I mean that we all live with this idea of perfection. Like we expect people to be complete. You know, it’s like the first time I read about “Nicola Tesla” and via his life I realized that famous “Edison” was not that little poor but intelligent boy of my imagination. Despite the fact that he invented electricity and he was a genius but he used and fooled tesla and then to secure his own place he lied and tried to show Tesla and his ideas dangerous when they actually weren’t! Big lies, right?
Or when I found out that Enistein has participated in making the Atomic bomb which blowed up cities and took innocent people’s lives.

Personally, I thought of them as heroes, wanted to be like them! but after I figured out more, I did not want to be anything near them. I find out they weren’t heroes ,after all. They don’t deserve the name.

And I know many other people have the same perfect and complete imige of these scientists. And they are comparing themselves with them and seeing no meaning in their own lives. They probably wonder why those people are intelligent, kind, brave, selfless and just pefect! but they are not!?
I wanted to tell them that there is not such a thing like perfectness. That’s a big joke!

That’s really nice of you to say.

Exactly. I mean, what’s the point of writing things which no one reads and pays attention to them. Like, yes you have written sth and I have read it but I don’t give a danm it’s right or wrong.

Thanks.
